Building a Better Community... One Youth at a Time
Our Vision:We recognize the need for youth to have a place to call their own, a place where they can hang out, a place where they can feel good, a place where they have the power to shape their world. We envision a safe, substance-free place where youth experience people, practices, and programming that lead to richer, more meaningful lives. We come with different worldviews and perceivce different needs, but strive for a common solution in our community.
Community Service: The youth from the center participate in many community service projects. Past projects have included include; baking cookies for ARC, cooking various dinners at the Center. April we will have a community Easter egg hunt for ages 2 - 12. Also, a prom dress fashion show for Junior and Senior High School girls (April 6th). We also provide the opportunity service hours for school.
Programs: Every month we feature a different culture to learn about. This includes reading books about the culture, a trivia game with a chance to win prizes and every Tuesday a different food from the culture will be cooked.
Statistics: We currently have 80 youth members with a wide range of age percentile.
